End of Season Concert Play-In: Saturday May 31, 12-2
When: Saturday, May 31 (12-2 pm) Practice at 11am
Where: Old Fire Hall
Format: group concert followed by a potluck
Admission is of course free; however, donations will be welcomed to help off-set the cost of the venue.
Please bring families, friends and a dish to share :0)

Every Child Can Course - May 1 7th
Every Child Can is a course that introduces people to the ideas and philosophies of the Suzuki method. This course will be offered in Whitehorse on May 17th at Selkirk Elementary school and will cost $30. A brief description of the course is included below
Course Presentation: Every Child Can!© is a 6 hour course. The 6-hour may be offered in one day (with added time for a meal break), or may be presented in two or more shorter segments over several days’ time.
Every Child Can is required for all new Suzuki teachers, but open to non-teachers, prospective teachers, parents, administrators and all others interested in learning about Suzuki approach to education. It is not instrument-specific. Experienced Suzuki teachers are also encouraged to participate for renewed inspiration or review.

Whitehorse String Ensemble concert on April 27th
Arrive at Christchurch Cathedral at 12:30 to get un-packed and tuned for a 12:45 run through of Twinkle Theme, Lightly Row, Go Tell Aunt Rhody and Song of the Wind.
When the run through of Suzuki songs is over, parents and children will need to vacate the hall until the concert begins to the Ensemble can finish their rehearsal.
Students playing the Vivaldi and/or Bach double will stay for the first part of the Ensemble's run through.
Concert starts at 2:00pm, the Suzuki songs will be at the beginning of the second half of the concert. Tickets are $10, performers get in free.
